**Systems Software EngineerJob Description** We are seeking a Systems Software Engineer with strong expertise in requirements management and decomposition to support a novel aircraft program. This role focuses on migrating and managing large sets of customer and system-level requirements in IBM DOORS Next Generation, ensuring full traceability and decomposition across hardware and software systems. **Responsibilities**

*   Migrate and manage large sets of customer requirements into IBM DOORS Next Generation.
*   Perform requirements decomposition from high-level customer specifications to low-level system and component-level requirements.
*   Establish and maintain traceability matrices across hardware and software domains.
*   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete coverage and alignment of decomposed requirements.
*   Support verification planning using IBM DOORS Next Generation’s verification module.
*   Work with both COTS and in-house developed software components to ensure proper requirement allocation.
*   Assist in converting spreadsheet-based requirement systems into structured, traceable formats within IBM DOORS Next Generation.
*   Participate in documentation efforts and ensure all requirements are safety-allocated and properly categorized.
*   Coordinate with systems and software engineers to support certification of multiple software items.

**Essential Skills**

*   Proven experience with IBM DOORS Next Generation, especially in managing large requirement sets.
*   Strong experience in requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification planning.
*   Familiarity with aerospace systems, especially novel aircraft or automotive components.
*   Ability to work collaboratively across hardware and software domains.
*   Experience with safety-critical systems and understanding of safety allocation principles.
*   Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
