StevenDouglas is engaged on a search with a growing, remote-first organization (no PST) is looking for a Revenue & Billing GL Manager to take ownership of the company’s end-to-end Order-to-Cash function.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who combines strong revenue accounting expertise with systems and process knowledge. You’ll lead the Billing & Revenue team, oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition, and partner across Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, and IT to build efficient, scalable processes.

What You’ll Own
- Lead the Billing & Revenue team and oversee the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Ensure sales orders are accurately and efficiently processed from contract through billing and cash collection.
- Own revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance under U.S. GAAP.
- Partner with Customer Success to improve billing, credit, and customer acceptance processes.
- Become the Accounting subject-matter expert for Order-to-Cash systems and processes.
- Partner with Business Systems, IT, and Revenue Operations on integrations, implementations, and process improvements.
- Oversee transactions and reconciliations across Salesforce, Zuora Billing/CPQ/RevPro, Stripe, and NetSuite.
- Review revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, bad debt, sales/VAT tax, and other related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review journal entries, accruals, commissions, and account reconciliations.
- Improve and automate commission processes to provide better visibility and reporting to Sales and Customer Success.
- Lead issue resolution and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, consolidated financial reporting, audits, and intercompany accounting.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong GL and close experience.
- 2+ years of management or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Experience with revenue accounting, billing, deferred revenue, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting, and financial controls.
- Strong hands-on systems experience with:
- Zuora Billing
- Zuora CPQ & Revenue / RevPro
- NetSuite
- Salesforce
- Experience with Salesforce-to-billing integrations and/or billing system implementations.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- A process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement better solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
