Role Description The Vice President of Investment is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s investment activities and strategy. This position oversees the evaluation, structuring, and management of investments across fintech, blockchain, and related technology sectors. Daily responsibilities include sourcing and screening investment opportunities, conducting detailed financial and commercial analysis, and leading due diligence processes. The role manages portfolio performance, develops investment theses, and prepares reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders. The Vice President of Investment also collaborates with product, technology, and finance teams to align capital allocation with the company’s strategic objectives and market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Investment Management and Investments, with a track record of managing portfolios or transactions in financial services or fintech.
- Advanced Finance skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and analysis of complex technology-driven business models.
- Proficiency in Due Diligence, covering financial, legal, operational, and market assessments for prospective investments.
- Experience designing and implementing Investment Strategies that balance growth, risk, and return in innovative or emerging markets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are an advantage.
- Knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, payment systems, or trading platforms, and interest in technology-led financial innovation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and working effectively in a remote, global environment.
