Job title: Cleared Recruiter
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
Join our team as a specialized Cleared Recruiter, where you’ll play a vital role in building robust pipelines of security-cleared talent for U.S. government–focused projects. This is your opportunity to leverage your expertise in the cleared talent ecosystem, supporting mission-critical hiring across federal, military, and veteran communities. If you excel at navigating the nuances of security clearances and thrive in high-stakes recruiting environments, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute full-cycle recruiting for security-cleared positions—including sourcing, screening, and closing candidates—for diverse roles and locations.
• Build, maintain, and nurture pipelines of cleared professionals: federal civilians, military officers and veterans, enlisted/NCO talent, and candidates with government experience.
• Source candidates through specialized cleared networks (ClearanceJobs, ClearedJobs.net), veteran and transition programs (SkillBridge, TAP, Hiring Our Heroes), and targeted military communities.
• Screen and qualify candidates for clearance level, status, and eligibility, ensuring all interactions comply with legal requirements.
• Coordinate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs) or the customer’s security office for clearance verification, utilizing candidate self-reports as preliminary filters.
• Develop location-specific pipelines for roles requiring proximity to government or military installations.
• Translate military backgrounds (MOS/rate, service history) into civilian job fit and build trust with transitioning service members.
• Partner with hiring managers to align on requirements, set expectations for niche pipelines, and deliver a seamless candidate experience.
• Track and report on pipeline health, sourcing metrics, and conversion rates for challenging cleared roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting, with substantial experience in cleared, defense, or government-contracting environments.
• Demonstrated success placing security-cleared talent; active knowledge of cleared channels and talent pools.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. security clearance levels (Secret, TS, TS/SCI, poly), reactivation protocols, and reciprocity.
• Fluent in reading/interpreting military service (MOS/rate), engaging confidently with veterans and transitioning personnel.
• Experience collaborating with FSOs or security teams on clearance verification processes.
• Advanced sourcing, screening, and stakeholder management skills; adept at filling hard-to-fill, location-locked roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized, detail-oriented, and metrics-driven.
• U.S.-based; U.S. citizenship may be required depending on roles and sensitive data.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience recruiting for specialized domains such as maritime/navy, drone/UAS, or combat operations.
• Background as a military recruiter, FSO, or veteran.
• Familiarity with contingent, project-based, or RPO staffing models.
