About the Role
SNF is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support its Oil & Gas teams in The Woodlands, Texas, Long Beach, California, Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and remote or home-based locations. Based in The Woodlands, this role provides day-to-day HR partnership across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration.
The HR Generalist will work closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and site leadership to implement HR policies, resolve workplace issues, support organizational change, and strengthen recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage sensitive matters while balancing employee needs with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to Oil & Gas leaders and employees on staffing, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
•Lead or support HR initiatives, special projects, and change-management efforts affecting site operations and corporate priorities.
•Manage full-cycle recruitment in partnership with Corporate Recruitment, including internal job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and selection decisions.
•Maintain accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records, reporting, and data in collaboration with subject matter experts.
•Build relationships with industry organizations, colleges and universities, workforce development organizations, and community groups to strengthen talent pipelines.
•Partner with HR Business Partners and site leaders to communicate and consistently implement HR policies, procedures, programs, and company initiatives.
•Advise managers, supervisors, and administrators on employee relations, policy interpretation, and workforce management.
•Assess and resolve complex HR issues using sound judgment and critical thinking while considering compliance requirements and business objectives.
•Administer HR transactions, including job and compensation changes, investigations, corrective actions, unemployment claims, and employee records management.
•Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with applicable federal and state requirements and company policies.
•Coordinate HR projects with relevant stakeholders, including vendors, Marketing, Safety, IT, and other departments.
•Support cross-functional projects, HR events, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree.
•Three to five years of progressive experience in a Human Resources role.
•One to two years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
•Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
•Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal and state employment laws.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
•Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to communicate sensitive information tactfully and handle complex workplace matters with discretion.
•Ability to work independently, make sound decisions in changing situations, and provide guidance to others.
•Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer service, quality, and results.
•Ability to anticipate organizational needs and recommend practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
•A degree in Human Resources.
•Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP, and iCIMS.
•Experience managing HR projects and collaborating across departments and with external partners.
