## About the Role


Hack The Box is seeking a Data Analyst to serve as an analytical partner for important client relationships within its Federal Sales team.


In this role, you will use data to demonstrate the return on investment of Hack The Box's cybersecurity training platform. You will analyze complex datasets, evaluate how training impacts human risk, identify behavioral patterns, and translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for executive-level stakeholders.


You will collaborate with Federal agency stakeholders, Account Executives, BDRs, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, Product, and Data Engineering teams to develop data-driven solutions and communicate measurable business outcomes.


### Key Responsibilities


* Partner with Federal agency stakeholders to translate compliance and cybersecurity requirements into data-driven success plans.

* Transform business requirements from government stakeholders into practical technical data solutions.

* Use SQL and Python to analyze large datasets and identify relationships between training engagement and security outcomes.

* Develop ROI models that demonstrate the impact of cybersecurity training.

* Build interactive dashboards and reports using Looker and Tableau.

* Create executive presentations that clearly communicate data insights, ROI, risk, and recommended actions.

* Analyze user behavior and simulation logs to identify high-risk cohorts and behavioral trends.

* Evaluate engagement signals such as completion velocity, adoption, and drop-off.

* Provide clients with tailored recommendations for optimizing training programs and curricula.

* Audit training telemetry and reporting data to maintain data quality and integrity.

* Use Python and SQL for rapid prototyping of risk models and ad-hoc analysis.

* Conduct what-if analysis to support client presentations and strategic decisions.

* Participate in Executive Business Reviews and communicate client progress, insights, and recommendations.

* Collaborate with Product and Data Engineering to ensure platform telemetry supports evolving reporting requirements.


### Required Qualifications


#### Technical Skills


* Expert-level SQL skills, including querying complex relational datasets.

* Experience with Snowflake is beneficial, particularly in legacy environments.

* Strong Python skills for data cleaning, automation, statistical analysis, and analytical prototyping.

* Advanced proficiency in Looker or comparable data visualization platforms.

* Experience with Tableau.

* High proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling.

* Experience translating raw data into actionable insights for executive audiences.

* Comfort using AI-assisted tools and LLM copilots to accelerate analysis and prototyping.


#### Communication and Business Skills


* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical data clearly to senior leaders.

* Strong presentation and data storytelling abilities.

* Ability to create cohesive presentations that communicate not only what the data shows, but what it means for business objectives and risk.

* Strong stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills.

* Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.


### Preferred Qualifications


* Experience with customer success metrics such as churn, adoption, engagement funnels, and learning outcomes.

* Experience in EdTech.

* Experience in cybersecurity.

* Experience supporting government or Federal clients.

### Compensation


The gross annual compensation range for this position is $95,000–$120,000 USD.

### Work Arrangement
