About the Role
Sycomp is seeking an experienced Credit Risk & Collections Manager to lead and strengthen our global credit and collections function. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will be responsible for establishing credit policies, managing customer credit risk, optimizing accounts receivable performance, reducing bad debt exposure, and driving working capital improvements across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting the company from financial risk while supporting business growth through sound credit decisions, disciplined collections processes, and strategic stakeholder partnerships. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Billing, Legal, and Operations, you'll help improve cash flow, reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), resolve complex payment issues, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership.

What You'll Do
- Develop and manage company-wide credit policies, credit limits, approval thresholds, and risk-rating frameworks.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and make informed credit recommendations to protect the business while supporting growth.
- Monitor credit exposure, payment trends, aging reports, and portfolio risk indicators.
- Drive collections strategies across a diverse customer base, improving cash flow and reducing aged receivables.
- Lead dispute resolution efforts and collaborate with internal teams to remove payment barriers.
- Own initiatives focused on reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improving working capital.
- Deliver credit and collections reporting, analysis, forecasts, and performance metrics to leadership.
- Identify root causes of payment delays, billing issues, and invoice discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
- Build strong partnerships with Sales, Finance, Billing, Operations, and customers to improve collection outcomes.
- Leverage ERP systems, reporting tools, automation, and AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency and visibility.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Credit Risk, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.
- Experience developing credit policies, terms, limits, and approval processes.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, working capital management, collections operations, and risk mitigation.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Experience with ERP and AR systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience with process improvement, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled business tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
