THE ROLE:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Broker Assistant to join our Property & Casualty department. This is a full-time, remote position providing administrative and account support throughout the policy lifecycle.
The Commercial Broker Assistant works closely with brokers, underwriting team members, retail agents, and internal departments to support timely and accurate servicing of commercial insurance accounts.

Pay Range: $33.00–$40.00 per hour
The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $33.00–$40.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain reports used to track business activity.
- Process endorsements, inspections, binders, and other policy maintenance transactions.
- Maintain accurate file documentation and compliance records within electronic filing systems.
- Enter and maintain information across multiple systems throughout the policy lifecycle, including proposals, confirmations, endorsements, and policy changes.
- Support accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts and assist with premium-related transactions.
- Communicate with retail agents and other business partners to obtain required information and assist with the resolution of account questions.
- Collaborate with brokers, underwriting team members, and internal departments regarding account servicing needs.
- Participate in training and development activities to expand insurance and underwriting knowledge.
- Provide administrative support and assist with projects and other job-related assignments as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial insurance experience.
- Experience as a Broker Assistant, Associate Broker, Account Manager, or in a similar commercial insurance support role preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to develop professional relationships with agents and internal partners.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to follow direction and work independently with appropriate supervision.
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
