About Pre-Health Shadowing
Pre-Health Shadowing (PHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping pre-health students explore healthcare careers through free virtual shadowing and live sessions with professionals. Our volunteer team is student- and professional-led, and your work reaches more than 83,000 students. About the role As Lead of Volunteer Operations, you keep the Volunteer Hub fresh and our volunteers informed and engaged. You will work closely with the Head of Volunteer Resources and alongside our Volunteer Liaisons, who engage directly with volunteers.
What you'll do
- Update the Volunteer Hub on the PHS website each month so featured projects and opportunities are accurate (WordPress training provided)
- Write and send the monthly volunteer newsletter at the start of each month through Givebutter (training provided)
- Work with the Head of Volunteer Resources and other departments to identify, prioritize and coordinate volunteer projects
- Partner with Volunteer Liaisons so volunteers know about current opportunities
- Gather project updates and keep communication flowing across departments
- Attend weekly Volunteer Resources Department meetings and monthly all-hands meetings

- Proactive, organized and responsive, with strong written communication
- Able to manage deadlines and follow through independently
- Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams
- Willing to learn WordPress and Givebutter (no prior experience needed) What you get
