This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. FP&A Analyst based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making within a growing organization. You will develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and analyses that help leadership understand performance and plan for the future. The position combines detailed financial analysis with meaningful exposure to business strategy and cross-functional decision-making. You will work closely with teams across the organization to understand business drivers, challenge assumptions, and translate data into actionable insights. Your work will contribute directly to budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, operational improvements, and long-term growth initiatives. The role is well suited to an analytical finance professional who is comfortable working with ambiguity and navigating evolving business models. You’ll also have opportunities to improve financial processes, support new tools and technologies, and communicate insights to senior leadership and the Board. Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models supporting forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis, performance commentary, and explanations of key financial movements.
- Analyze financial statements, business trends, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles by partnering with departments across the organization to gather assumptions, validate inputs, and ensure accuracy.
- Monitor actual results against budgets and forecasts, investigate material variances, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support strategic planning through financial analysis, scenario modeling, and simulations that assess potential business opportunities, risks, and outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business drivers, gather financial information, and provide decision support.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready presentations and reports for senior leadership and Board audiences, highlighting key financial metrics, trends, and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting workflows, and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new financial tools, technologies, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide financial analysis for special projects and strategic initiatives as requested by finance leadership or senior management.
- Contribute to a high-performing FP&A function by bringing structure, analytical rigor, and proactive insight to evolving business priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a closely related finance role.
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, including a clear understanding of how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement interact.
- Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into practical recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, with strong data analysis capabilities.
- Experience working with financial software or ERP systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to independently manage priorities while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Comfort learning new business models, working with incomplete or ambiguous data, and adapting priorities in a rapidly scaling environment.
- Prior FP&A experience in HealthTech, Digital Health, pharmacy operations, or another data-intensive environment is advantageous.
- Experience in startup or early-stage organizations is a plus.
- M&A modeling, corporate development, private equity, or investment banking experience is beneficial.
