Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret business data to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will develop dashboards, automate reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business performance. This remote role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in business intelligence tools, and the ability to communicate data-driven recommendations effectively. Modern U.S. remote reporting analyst roles commonly emphasize dashboard development, data validation, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and stakeholder collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and automate recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Design interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, business metrics, and performance trends.
  • Identify data discrepancies and ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and executive summaries.
  • Create data visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Improve reporting processes through automation and optimization.
  • Document reporting procedures, data definitions, and business rules.
  • Support audits, forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting initiatives.
  • Assist with special analytical projects and process improvement initiatives.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas).
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate or other workflow automation tools.
  • Experience working with ERP or CRM systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards and reports.
