GMG Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Grants Management Analyst to assist with administering and managing Federal discretionary and competitive grant programs. This position supports the Government throughout the entire Federal grants lifecycle, from pre-award through post-award and closeout, and is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to grant recipient administration.
The successful candidate must have direct experience supporting a Federal agency's grants management office and be able to independently manage multiple grant actions while maintaining accurate grant tracking and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum four (4) years of direct Federal grants management and/or Federal acquisition experience.
- Experience supporting Federal agencies (not solely state, local, tribal, or grant recipient organizations).
- Experience supporting the full Federal grants lifecycle, including:
- Pre-award
- Award
- Post-award administration
- Grant modifications
- Monitoring
- Closeout
- Thorough knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
- Strong knowledge of Federal Assistance policies and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, written, organizational, and communication skills.
Required Experience
- Candidates must demonstrate experience performing duties such as:
- Reviewing grant applications for completeness and eligibility.
- Performing budget and cost analyses.
- Reviewing SF-424 application packages and supporting documentation.
- Conducting recipient risk assessments.
- Reviewing reimbursement requests and financial reports.
- Processing award modifications, amendments, and no-cost extensions.
- Supporting grant monitoring, compliance reviews, and audit readiness.
- Assisting with grant closeout activities.
- Providing technical guidance to Federal program officials and grant recipients.
- Maintaining complete electronic grant files.
Grants Tracking & Reporting
The successful candidate must have strong experience developing and maintaining grant tracking tools and management dashboards. This includes the ability to create and maintain dashboards (Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, or similar platforms) that provide management with the real-time status of every assigned grant, including:
- Grant number
- Recipient/Grantee
- Program Office
- Federal award amount
- Date assigned
- Current workflow status
- Pending signatures
- Recipient acknowledgement received
- Award issuance status
- Modification status
- Monitoring status
- Closeout status
- Outstanding action items
- Responsible Government official
- Due dates and milestones
- Risk or compliance issues
- Other key grant performance metrics
The dashboard must enable FHWA management to determine the status of any assigned grant at a moment's notice.
