Senior Director School Operations, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $200,000/year USD
Job Description
Posted on: December 31, 2025
Trust is what keeps every campus running. This role ensures that trust is built, safeguarded, and delivered uniformly across the board. You will serve as the national leader of campus operations—not as a concept, but in real execution. You'll be responsible for guiding, developing, and holding accountable a team of 30+ Campus Coordinators and Lead Campus Coordinators who function as the operational core and first point of contact at each location. When issues emerge, deteriorate, or introduce risk at the site level, they come to you. This position is necessary because operational excellence at a single campus is insufficient. Families expect identical standards of safety, hospitality, professionalism, and responsiveness no matter the location. You will design the policies, frameworks, and management infrastructure that enable this consistency. You'll uncover weaknesses, resolve ambiguities, and create standardized campus operations without removing the capacity for judgment or personal connection from your teams. If you've encountered a distributed team and recognized, "This functions well… but it could be significantly more consistent, scalable, and professional," this role is for you. What You Will Be Doing
- Direct the Campus Coordinator function on a national scale, encompassing hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and terminations as necessary
- Take full ownership of all campus-level operational policies, spanning safety and compliance through to family experience and front-of-house delivery
- Collaborate with Campus Coordinators and Lead CCs to surface policy deficiencies, recurring challenges, and operational inconsistencies, then address them through systemic solutions
- Develop comprehensive playbooks, SOPs, and training resources that convert organizational expectations into consistent daily actions on campus
- Define performance benchmarks, review frequencies, and escalation protocols to ensure rapid and uniform problem resolution
- Conduct regular operational audits across campuses to confirm policies are comprehended, implemented, and driving better outcomes for families and personnel
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing the daily operations of an individual campus
- Focusing primarily on facilities improvements or construction initiatives
- Creating policies that remain theoretical documents rather than influencing actual behavior
- Serving as a detached HR liaison rather than a hands-on people leader
- Tolerating "that's just how this campus does it" as a legitimate justification
Senior Director School Operations Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every campus delivers consistent, high-caliber operational execution by directing the Campus Coordinator function, owning operational policy development, and maintaining accountability to defined standards across all teams. Basic Requirements
- 7+ years in operations leadership, people management, or multi-site contexts where consistency and execution are critical
- Documented experience recruiting, coaching, and performance-managing frontline operational leaders across multiple locations
- Sound judgment regarding safety, compliance, customer experience, and risk oversight
- Proven capability to detect policy deficiencies and convert uncertainty into actionable, practical standards
- Confident in providing candid feedback and making difficult decisions when performance is inadequate
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to U.S. campuses
- U.S.-based and authorized to work without requiring sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience in education, hospitality, healthcare, or similar high-trust, customer-facing sectors
- Track record of developing centralized training programs, playbooks, or operational standards for geographically dispersed teams
- Experience leading managers (transitioning from individual contributor or player-coach to leader-of-leaders)
