Many virtual schools equate access with quality. They provide online instruction. They do not produce measurable results. GT School operates on a different model. We educate Gifted & Talented students in grades K–8 using AI-enhanced curriculum and high-expectation mentorship. We are now expanding our virtual offering to enable families to access GT-level advancement regardless of location. This position is responsible for creating a virtual school environment that is demanding, credible, and demonstrably effective. You will lead the complete operational framework of the virtual program. This encompasses experience architecture for students, management of advisor performance, targeted cohort-level actions, and stewardship of parent confidence. No established playbook exists. You will conduct real-time assessments, execute rapid course corrections, participate directly in live sessions as necessary, and establish the systems that enable consistent 3× learning gains. This is an operational leadership role for someone who values measurement. Retention rates, acceleration metrics, parent trust scores, and tangible student achievements define success. If you seek autonomy, operational complexity, and unambiguous accountability, this is the role. What You Will Be Doing
- Architecting and iterating the complete virtual student journey to foster acceleration, healthy competition, and community connection
- Analyzing student outcomes, advisor effectiveness, and parent feedback on a weekly cadence to surface problems and execute rapid corrections
- Leading accountability for the 3× learning framework, spotting XP deficiencies and creating systems that sustain student momentum
- Collaborating with advisors to deploy cohort-specific interventions and anticipatory parent outreach before concerns intensify
- Developing advisor training, alignment, and development infrastructure using session data, metrics dashboards, and performance indicators

- Managing a fixed program with standardized procedures and prolonged decision timelines
- Operating from a distance while waiting for others to surface operational challenges
- Prioritizing attendance metrics over tangible academic progress
- Generating reports that fail to drive observable improvements in student outcomes or advisor execution
Virtual School Director Key Responsibilities Design and manage a scalable virtual school operation that reliably produces 3× learning gains, cultivates parent confidence, and sustains family enrollment through transparent, recognized student achievement. Basic Requirements
- Demonstrated full-cycle leadership experience running a virtual school or online education program
- Teaching or instructional design background with firsthand involvement in learning delivery (in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats)
- Advanced diagnostic capability using performance dashboards, session recordings, and feedback mechanisms to uncover underlying issues and implement fixes
- Track record of managing remote teams with defined expectations, accountability structures, and consistent execution
- Effective parent engagement skills with evidence of proactive, confidence-building communication practices
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience creating motivational structures such as competitive challenges, performance leaderboards, or recurring community traditions that sustain student engagement
- Familiarity with progressive or AI-supported educational frameworks
- Experience designing and implementing outcome-driven team development programs including structured onboarding and alignment protocols

The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
