About The Role
The Data Scientist, Marketing Analytics at ADT plays a pivotal role in transforming complex data into strategic insights that drive marketing effectiveness and business growth. This position requires a highly skilled professional who can bridge the gap between advanced data science techniques and practical marketing applications. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing teams, data engineers, and leadership to develop predictive models, optimize marketing campaigns, and support customer acquisition and retention initiatives. They will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions, conducting rigorous experiments, and creating compelling data narratives that influence executive decision-making. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master’s degree is preferred for this role. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in data science, predictive modeling, and building end-to-end data pipelines within a marketing or customer acquisition context. Technical proficiency in Python, especially with data modeling packages, and advanced SQL skills are essential. Familiarity with Vertex AI or Colab notebooks is also required. A solid understanding of digital marketing channels such as Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic advertising, along with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, is necessary. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) for audience segmentation are highly valued.
Responsibilities
The Data Scientist, Marketing Analytics will be responsible for developing predictive growth models to forecast customer lifetime value (LTV), acquisition propensity, and churn risk using advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques. They will support the creation of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution (MTA) frameworks to evaluate and optimize marketing spend efficiency. Designing and executing rigorous campaign experiments, including A/B and multivariate testing, will be a key part of the role, enabling data-driven decision-making around digital marketing strategies. The role involves translating complex statistical results into visually compelling narratives that inform executive strategy and operational tactics. Collaboration with data engineering teams is crucial to build and maintain robust data pipelines that integrate multiple data sources, including ad-platform APIs, web analytics, and offline sales data, ensuring a single source of truth for analysis. The candidate must champion data privacy standards, ensuring compliance with regulations like CCPA/CPRA and respecting consumer privacy while optimizing marketing efforts. Additionally, they will partner with cross-functional teams such as Brand, Digital Media, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing to convert vague marketing challenges into structured, measurable data science projects. Continuous learning and staying current with evolving marketing technologies, MLOps best practices, and innovative data sources are essential to elevate ADT’s analytical capabilities. Experience in creating customer personas and segmentation strategies to deliver personalized experiences throughout the customer lifecycle will also be part of the responsibilities.
