About the Role
The company is seeking a Software Engineer to join its distributed engineering team. The opportunity is open to developers at different career levels, from mid-level engineers looking to grow to experienced Staff Engineers ready to lead architectural decisions. The level offered will be determined by interview performance and experience.
In this role, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers in an Agile environment to build scalable software, improve existing systems, and maintain high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define feature requirements and specifications in an Agile environment.
- Write reliable, testable code and participate in code reviews to maintain software quality.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve the technology stack to meet future requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects for senior-level positions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and upgrade existing software systems.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through testing and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of professional software engineering experience, with final level placement determined by interview performance.
- Proficiency in a relevant programming language, such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with modern frameworks and technologies, such as React, Django, Spring Boot, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration within a remote-first team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working with fully remote or distributed engineering teams.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with technologies relevant to the company's specific engineering needs.
Salary & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $225,000–$300,000. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and interview performance.
