## About the Role
Kanopi Studios is seeking a **Website Project Manager** to bring structure, strategic oversight, and clear communication to WordPress website build and support projects. This intermediate-level role manages projects from kickoff through completion while coordinating clients, developers, UX/UI designers, and strategists.
The role focuses on project workflows, client communication, resource coordination, budgets, timelines, quality, risk management, and continuous process improvement.
## Key Responsibilities
### Client & Project Leadership
* Manage multiple WordPress build and support projects with varying complexity and client needs.
* Serve as the primary client point of contact and maintain clear, effective communication.
* Understand client business needs and communicate requirements to internal teams.
* Determine when issues should be escalated to management.
* Identify potential larger projects and opportunities that may benefit client accounts.
* Lead client meetings, communicate next steps, provide updates, and translate technical concepts into plain language.
* Build positive client relationships that support contract renewals and upsell opportunities.
### Planning & Execution
* Facilitate project and client onboarding, kickoff calls, and transitions between build and support.
* Maintain organized and prioritized project backlogs.
* Evaluate tasks and client requests for strategic fit and identify alternatives when appropriate.
* Handle quick-win WordPress configurations and content entry before escalating to development teams.
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve blockers and anticipate project needs.
* Coordinate developers, UX/UI designers, strategists, and other resources based on project timing, scope, and expertise.
### Quality, Budget & Timeline Oversight
* Review designs, tickets, content, development work, and other deliverables before client handoff.
* Monitor project budgets and timelines to keep work within scope and on schedule.
* Provide regular updates regarding project progress and hours used.
* Identify risks early and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
* Expedite urgent requests and help triage issues, particularly for support accounts.
### Tools & Team Collaboration
* Use Teamwork, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and related project collaboration tools.
* Participate in team meetings, standups, retrospectives, and collaborative discussions.
* Contribute to process improvements and a positive team culture.
* Monitor team workloads and pacing and proactively adjust priorities when needed.
## Required Qualifications
* 3–5 years of digital agency project management experience, including leading WordPress projects.
* Experience managing the full lifecycle of web build projects and long-term client support engagements.
* Familiarity with Agile workflows, ticketing systems, and client documentation.
* Understanding of website performance, configuration, and development fundamentals.
* Ability to balance project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and team considerations.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Experience resourcing development projects and matching roles to project requirements.
* Ability to establish priorities and communicate changes clearly with internal teams and clients.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
* Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience with risk mitigation, issue tracking, and change management.
* Experience working with distributed project teams.
* Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, collaborative environment.
* Availability to work during core Pacific Time Zone hours.
* Passion for the web and open-source platforms such as WordPress.

## Compensation & Benefits
* **Annual Salary:** $58,000–$77,225 USD
* Salary may vary based on experience, comparable internal experience, and geographic location.
