2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Manager, People Operations leads the day-to-day operations of the People function, ensuring a high-quality employee experience, compliance, and efficient execution of people programs. This role partners with leadership to implement strategies, drive operational excellence, and build scalable processes that support organizational growth. It requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on management of benefits administration, leave management, HR compliance, HRIS, and employee lifecycle operations.


3. Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily People Operations activities and employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, job changes, leaves, and offboarding
  • Ensure operational excellence in People programs, policies, and services
  • Develop and improve People processes, workflows, and procedures
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation
  • Act as escalation point for complex operational and employee matters
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders for seamless execution
  • Monitor service delivery and recommend improvements
  • Support People Operations goals and projects
  • Administer employee benefit programs and manage relationships with brokers and vendors
  • Oversee benefits enrollment, communications, and open enrollment
  • Resolve complex benefits issues and ensure compliance
  • Manage leave administration and accommodations including FMLA, ADA, and state programs
  • Guide employees and managers through leave processes and maintain documentation
  • Stay current on legislation impacting leave and accommodations
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple states
  • Maintain People policies, conduct audits, and advise on compliance
  • Support employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation
  • Administer HR systems (UKG Pro), ensure data integrity, and manage reporting
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations and performance management
  • Support consistent application of policies and resolution of workplace concerns


4. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Relevant HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience managing benefits administration and leave programs
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws in multiple states
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and data management
  • Strong operational leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
