About the Opportunity:
The CALL CENTER SERVICE ADVOCATE I plays a key role in managing patient care and enhancing the patient experience. This position is responsible for efficiently scheduling appointments and handling patient communications, contributing directly to the organization's goal of providing comprehensive and accessible health services.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
- Provide courteous and professional service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Accurately enter patient information and appointment details into the scheduling system.
- Communicate appointment details and instructions clearly to patients.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and issues promptly.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments for smooth scheduling operations.
- Conduct follow-up calls to confirm appointments and provide reminders.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some undergraduate education preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience; call center experience preferred.
- Flexible and positive attitude.
- Friendly and nurturing approach towards older adult patients.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent phone demeanor and etiquette.
- High level of integrity.
- Proficient with PC and basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Preferred fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Polish.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 to $34.15 per hour.
- The actual base salary offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
