About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of overhead crane projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will utilize PMI-based project management principles and Lean Six Sigma practices to lead projects effectively, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of lean manufacturing processes and quality management systems. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving project success, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across all project phases. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Scheduler in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Microsoft Project scheduling tools
- Experience managing overhead crane and EPC projects
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems (QMS)
- Certification such as PMP or CAPM is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, execute, and monitor unique lean manufacturing projects involving overhead cranes, working closely with customers and internal teams
- Interpret and implement project specifications in accordance with contract documents and the AEH Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead internal teams and external vendors with clear, responsible communication, including conducting kickoff and hyper-care meetings with documented agendas and minutes
- Manage engineering submittal approvals, change orders, and risk assessments in compliance with QMS standards
- Ensure the availability of materials and resources needed to meet project schedules and delivery commitments, addressing shortages proactively
- Monitor project costs, control expenditures, and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met
- Identify potential project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies as needed
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and report progress to stakeholders regularly
- Uphold safety standards and quality assurance throughout all project phases
