About The Role We are seeking a versatile and experienced Staff Product Designer to join our expanding design team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience across core surfaces and problem areas within the Linktree platform. Your expertise will help elevate the quality and craft of our products, ensuring that design decisions are grounded in strong product judgment and user empathy. As a key contributor, you will own projects end-to-end—from framing ambiguous problems, setting strategic direction, to shipping high-quality, polished solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, research, and design systems to deliver impactful experiences. This role emphasizes the integration of AI into design workflows, pushing the boundaries of how AI can enhance prototyping, exploration, and delivery. Your influence will help lift the craft of your peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance of deep expertise in product design, a broad range of skills, and a clear specialization or spike that sets them apart. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating range and specialization
• Experience at a staff or senior level, capable of setting design direction and raising quality standards
• Deep understanding of product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
• Ability to work across the full design spectrum from conceptualization to high-fidelity delivery
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and research
• Familiarity with integrating AI tools and practices into the design process
• Strong systems thinking, with the ability to design scalable patterns across surfaces and teams
• Excellent product judgment and user empathy, especially for creators and the creator economy
• Low ego, high collaboration mindset, committed to elevating team craft and shared goals
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and make strategic decisions with limited information
• Experience designing for diverse platforms and user contexts

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design of core surfaces or problem areas within the platform, from initial framing to final delivery
• Set strategic direction and elevate the overall quality and craft of design work across projects
• Develop and iterate on interaction and visual designs, creating prototypes that inform and guide development
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, research teams, and design systems to ensure cohesive and impactful solutions
• Utilize AI tools and techniques to enhance exploration, prototyping, and shipping processes
• Lead through influence, mentoring and uplifting the design team to foster a culture of excellence
• Participate in user research, testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions
• Establish and maintain scalable design systems and patterns across multiple surfaces and teams
• Advocate for user needs and ensure designs align with business goals and technical feasibility
