About The Role Red Carrot is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphic Designer II to join our team as a Journeyman level professional supporting the customer's External Affairs office on a high-profile federal communications contract. This remote position is contingent upon contract award and requires a seasoned designer capable of independently leading visual projects across both digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating compelling graphics, animations, and multimedia content tailored for diverse audiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative visual materials that effectively communicate complex program information, enhance branding efforts, and support various outreach initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and refresh templates, produce engaging infographics, and support event documentation through photo and video capture. Your creative input will be essential in establishing a centralized repository for design assets, ensuring all graphics are accessible, standardized, and compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards. - Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Information Technology, Animation, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience creating AI-generated content, motion design, rigging, and VFX
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Maya
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools like Runway ML, DALL
- E, and MidJourney
- Ability to obtain the required government Fitness Determination
- Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse design capabilities and multimedia projects
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive graphic design support for publications, presentations, factsheets, reports, and other communication materials
- Create static and digital graphics, animations, icons, and multimedia content optimized for web and print platforms
- Design and develop infographics to visually represent program data and information effectively
- Design, update, and maintain templates for standard products including fact sheets, brochures, flyers, and reports
- Support the creation and refresh of visual displays for agency booths, banners, exhibits, and other outreach materials
- Establish and manage a central repository of icons, graphics, and design templates accessible to all team members
- Ensure all graphics and communication products comply with Section 508 accessibility standards
- Support event activities through photo and video capture, editing, and documentation
- Create motion graphics and video content to enhance communication efforts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality visual solutions
