About the Opportunity

The Data Reporting & Analytics Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data reporting infrastructure that supports program operations and mandated reporting requirements.

  • Develop and maintain dimensional data models to support reporting and analytics
  • Produce recurring state and federal compliance reports with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with business analysts and program staff to gather, clarify, and translate reporting requirements
  • Implement data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and validation procedures across data pipelines

  • Document data definitions, data lineage, business rules, report specifications, and technical processes
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release processes
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies between source systems and reporting outputs
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and analytics capabilities

Requirements

  • Professional experience in data reporting, business intelligence, analytics development, or a related field
  • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Proficiency with at least one enterprise BI or reporting platform, such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Cognos, or MicroStrategy
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, dbt, or equivalent technologies
  • Knowledge of relational database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse design
  • Ability to gather and translate reporting requirements from non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance practices
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
