Profitable Tradie is growing and we’re always interested in meeting talented salespeople.

We help plumbing, electrical and other service business owners build more profitable businesses. That means helping them generate better leads, improve sales, build strong teams and put the right systems in place so the business isn’t completely reliant on them.

It’s a big decision for someone to work with us, and our sales team plays an important part in helping business owners work out whether Profitable Tradie is right for them.

As we grow, we’re looking for people across our sales team who can do that exceptionally well.

Where could you fit?

Our sales process has three core roles.

Connectors are our hunters. They’re comfortable picking up the phone, creating conversations from nothing and getting the right business owners into our world.

Setters / Triage Specialists take the discovery further. They need to be curious, confident and good at getting beneath the surface. You’re not just qualifying against a checklist; you’re understanding the business, the owner, what isn’t working and whether there’s a genuine problem we can help solve.

Closers take that conversation further again. This is high-ticket, consultative sales, so we need people who can listen, challenge when needed and get to the real reason someone wants change. You need to be comfortable talking about business, money and the impact the current situation is having on the person sitting across from you.

We don’t expect every salesperson to be ready for every role. If you’re exceptional, driven and coachable, we’re interested in finding out where you could fit.

The type of person who does well here

We like confident people, but not big egos. You need to be competitive and care about your numbers, while still being someone the rest of the team wants around.

You’ll take ownership when things aren’t going well rather than blaming leads, marketing or the market. You’ll want feedback, you’ll use it, and you’ll probably spend more time thinking about how to get better than being told to get better.

Most importantly, you need to be good with people!!

Our clients are predominantly trades and service business owners. They tend to be practical, straight-talking and pretty good at spotting bullshit. Being polished isn’t enough. You need to build trust quickly, have some personality and be genuinely interested in what’s going on in their business and life.

We’re particularly interested in people who can show us a strong sales track record, whether that’s high-ticket sales, business coaching, home services, SaaS, professional services or another environment where you’ve had to properly diagnose a problem before asking someone to make a significant investment.
