We are a performance-driven company built around speed, data, creative testing, and operational execution. Our team launches and scales products through paid media, high-converting funnels, strong creative strategy, customer retention, and disciplined backend operations.

At Persist Brands, we move fast, test aggressively, and optimize constantly. We are looking for ambitious, resourceful, and highly accountable people who want to join a lean, growth-focused company where their work has a direct impact on revenue, customer experience, and long-term brand value.

The Role

We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager with mandatory DTC eCommerce experience to manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, OPEX, cash flow, and management reporting.

The ideal candidate understands DTC unit economics and can connect revenue, marketing spend, CAC, ROAS, payment fees, refunds, supplier costs, and operating expenses to overall business profitability. Dropshipping experience is highly preferred.

What You'll Do:

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, cash-flow planning, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze DTC metrics including CAC, ROAS, MER, AOV, gross margin, and contribution margin.
  • Partner with Marketing to evaluate spend, campaign profitability, and customer acquisition economics.
  • Manage and analyze OPEX, including Marketing, Technology, SaaS, Payroll, Operations, and G&A.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, financial risks, margin improvement, and revenue opportunities.
  • Prepare budget vs. actual and variance analysis and provide actionable insights to the CFO / Founder.
  • Monitor payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, supplier costs, fulfillment, and other variable expenses.
  • Maintain short- and long-term cash-flow and working-capital forecasts.
  • Support CAPEX and investment decisions through ROI, payback, and financial modeling.
  • Reconcile and validate financial data across eCommerce platforms, payment processors, banks, and accounting systems.
  • Partner with accounting teams/external accountants on month-end close, controls, tax, and audit requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5–7 years of progressive Finance / FP&A / Financial Analysis experience.
  • Mandatory experience working with DTC eCommerce brands.
  • Strong understanding of DTC business models and eCommerce unit economics.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of CAC, ROAS, MER, AOV, gross margin, contribution margin, and profitability.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-growing startup environment.

Deal Breakers:

  • Dropshipping experience.
  • Experience with Shopify or other major eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience working with Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, or other payment processors.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting platforms and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience analyzing supplier, fulfillment, shipping, refund, and chargeback economics.
  • Experience supporting CAPEX and strategic investment decisions.
  • Experience working directly with a CFO, Founder, or senior leadership team.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, location, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
