Senior Project Manager - Data Center Digital Infrastructure

Location: 100% Remote

Compensation: $40-45 per hour on W2

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager to spearhead complex, cross-functional business initiatives in the dynamic data center digital infrastructure industry. This pivotal role sits at the crossroads of meticulous project execution, seamless program coordination, and strategic business operations. It demands exceptional autonomy, astute judgment, and influential stakeholder leadership to navigate enterprise-level challenges. Unlike conventional IT project management positions, this opportunity emphasizes driving tangible business outcomes, instituting robust governance frameworks, and orchestrating flawless end-to-end delivery across multifaceted teams and departments.

In this fast-paced environment, you'll interface with key enterprise platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, ClickUp, Oracle P6, and Procore, but your core mission revolves around translating strategic visions into operational realities. The ideal candidate is a battle-tested operator who thrives in ambiguity, swiftly imposes structure on chaotic initiatives, and propels cross-team efforts forward with minimal supervision; All while keeping executive stakeholders aligned and informed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Initiatives: Oversee multiple concurrent projects encompassing operations optimization, process enhancements, tooling implementations, analytics empowerment, training programs, and organizational transformations, ensuring they align with overarching business goals.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage initiatives from initial intake and exploratory phases through to execution, stabilization, and seamless handover to ongoing operational owners, fostering long-term sustainability.
  • Strategic Planning: Convert abstract business objectives into detailed, actionable delivery roadmaps, complete with well-defined scopes, critical milestones, interdependencies, potential risks, and measurable success indicators.
  • Governance Establishment: Design, deploy, and uphold rigorous delivery governance mechanisms, including comprehensive project plans, regular check-in rhythms (following Plan/Do/Check/Act methodologies), decision tracking logs, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, and clear escalation protocols.
  • Documentation Excellence: Create and sustain polished, executive-caliber documentation that articulates initiative frameworks, governance standards, timelines, role definitions, and streamlined issue-resolution workflows.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central hub for collaboration among business leaders, operational teams, IT collaborators, and external vendors, bridging gaps to ensure unified progress.
  • Facilitation and Decision-Making: Conduct focused working sessions and stakeholder engagements to cultivate clarity, foster alignment, and accelerate informed decisions in high-stakes scenarios.
  • Executive Reporting: Deliver succinct, results-oriented updates to senior leadership, framing project advancements in terms of business value, impact, and risk management.
  • Crisis Intervention: Dive into vaguely defined or ongoing initiatives to inject immediate clarity, momentum, and accountability, turning potential setbacks into opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and address delivery hurdles proactively, deploying effective mitigation tactics to prevent escalations and maintain momentum.
  • Platform Integration: Navigate environments involving tools like ClickUp, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle P6, and Procore, collaborating closely with platform experts without taking on direct system administration.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 9+ years in progressive project and/or program management roles within intricate enterprise landscapes, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact results.
  • Cross-Functional Expertise: History of successfully guiding initiatives that span diverse business units and stakeholder ecosystems, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • Leadership Style: A proactive ownership mentality, excelling at leading through influence rather than formal authority, and achieving outcomes via structured persuasion.
  • Core Skills: Superior organizational prowess, sharp prioritization abilities, and innovative problem-solving acumen to tackle complex challenges head-on.
  • Communication Mastery: Elite-level written and verbal skills tailored for executive audiences, with a knack for engaging, swaying, and unifying top-tier leaders.
  • Documentation Proficiency: Established expertise in crafting and preserving top-tier delivery documents and governance materials that stand up to scrutiny.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Versatile Delivery Experience: Ability to pivot fluidly between hands-on project execution and broader program oversight, adapting to evolving needs.
  • Transformation Background: Prior involvement in business transformation efforts, operational streamlining, or enterprise-wide enablement projects, bringing insights from real-world applications.

  • Certification: PMP or comparable certification is advantageous but not mandatory, valuing practical experience over credentials.
