About The Company
Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, artificial intelligence, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. The company partners with organizations to develop and support technology that addresses complex business needs. This opportunity offers the chance to join an established organization with potential for professional growth and to contribute to engineering work with a broad enterprise impact.
About The Role
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Rust Developer for a full-time, direct W-2 position. This role is 100% remote within the United States, with an annual salary range of $145,000 to $205,000. Candidates should have at least six years of professional software engineering experience, including three or more years developing Rust applications in production.
You will design, build, and optimize high-performance distributed systems, low-latency backend services, and cloud-native infrastructure components. Working with platform engineers, distributed systems architects, DevOps teams, and product engineering groups, you will contribute to scalable APIs, asynchronous processing pipelines, networking services, and infrastructure automation. The team’s work includes event streaming, Kubernetes-based platform services, authentication infrastructure, job scheduling, and observability solutions supporting enterprise-scale applications.
This is a hands-on engineering position involving architecture, implementation, performance optimization, deployment, and production support. Applicants eligible to work in the United States, including U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and candidates seeking an H-1B transfer, are encouraged to apply. The company cannot sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position.
Qualifications
Successful candidates bring strong Rust expertise, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, and macros. You should have experience with asynchronous Rust using Tokio, async/await, and Futures, along with frameworks such as Axum, Actix, Warp, or Rocket. A solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, operating systems, memory management, and networking is important.
Additional qualifications include experience building REST APIs and gRPC services; developing on Linux; and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Candidates should be comfortable with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL technologies such as Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB. Practical experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or Pulsar is expected. Strong debugging, profiling, benchmarking, and performance optimization skills are essential.
Experience with high-throughput distributed platforms, service meshes, Terraform or Pulumi, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, TLS, or cryptographic libraries is beneficial. Kubernetes Operators, Rust command-line utilities, C/C++ interoperability, and open-source contributions are also valued.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Rust services for distributed environments. Build low-latency APIs, event-driven microservices, asynchronous processing systems, and networking applications using protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/2, gRPC, WebSockets, and QUIC. Develop resilient, concurrent services designed for high availability and demanding transaction volumes.
Optimize CPU and memory use, concurrency, and application performance. Integrate services with messaging systems and databases, implement secure authentication using standards such as OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS, and strengthen observability through structured logging, distributed tracing, and monitoring. Participate in design and code reviews, investigate production issues, collaborate on automated deployments and infrastructure as code, and contribute to ongoing reliability improvements.
Benefits
This opportunity offers fully remote work within the United States, full-time direct W-2 employment, and a stated annual salary range of $145,000 to $205,000. You will work on technically challenging enterprise systems alongside cross-functional engineering teams, with opportunities to contribute to architecture and develop your expertise in Rust and distributed infrastructure. Bright Vision Technologies also describes this position as offering career growth potential.
