The Credit Resolution Manager supports the work of Payment Posting & Credits Department by ensuring accurate oversight of credit resolution processes, vendor performance, payment handling, and compliance with state and federal requirements. As part of this team, the Credit Resolution Manager helps refine workflows, strengthen internal controls, and support a consistent and positive patient financial experience. The Credit Resolution Manager plays a key role in identifying system improvements and collaborating with partners across the revenue cycle. MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. This role supports the organization's financial stewardship and contributes to an efficient, patient-centered revenue cycle environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field and have Revenue Cycle experience within Billing, Credit Resolution, and Payment Posting. Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm(Remote but must be willing to attend meetings onsite occasionally) Why Us? Responsibilities Credit Resolution / Payment Posting Manager

  • Ensure departmental policies are reviewed, updated annually, and distributed to staff for compliance.
  • Oversee and coordinate monthly performance statistics and ensure timely distribution to team members.
  • Monitor Payment Posting quality control processes to maintain an error rate of 1% or less.
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and institutional privacy standards.
  • Oversee adherence to documentation and imaging control procedures.
  • Monitor production standards to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and productivity expectations are met.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to supervisors and the Payment Posting & Credits Director regarding workflow efficiency, quality, production, and performance issues.
  • Report system problems, staffing concerns, or process gaps to management promptly.
  • Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing and hiring staff. Provide employee coaching, update job descriptions, and complete performance evaluations within required timeframes.
  • Partner with PBS Customer Service to promote a positive patient experience through accurate payment posting and timely refund processing.
  • Represent Patient Business Services on revenue cycle committees to support institutional understanding of payment posting, credit balance resolution, and refund processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or higher.

Work Experience

  • Required: Five years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • May substitute Bachelor's degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
  • Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
