About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support reporting, data validation, analysis, and business decision-making. This entry-level opportunity is suited to candidates with foundational analytical skills and hands-on experience from internships, coursework, academic projects, personal projects, or equivalent practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, clean, and validate data from business sources.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and data summaries.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and variances and communicate findings.
- Assist with dashboards and data visualizations.
- Perform basic SQL queries and spreadsheet analysis.
- Identify data-quality issues and document findings.
- Work with stakeholders to clarify reporting and analysis needs.
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, calculations, and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, operations, internships, academic projects, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis and structured problem solving.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software.
- Basic understanding of SQL or relational databases.
- Ability to organize, validate, interpret, and communicate data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data summaries.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience with academic, internship, or personal data-analysis projects.
- Familiarity with basic statistics and data-quality concepts.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year.
This is a full-time W-2 position. Benefits and any additional compensation are provided according to the employer's applicable plans and policies.
Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote position available to candidates residing in the United States, subject to applicable employment, payroll, and hiring requirements in the candidate's state of residence.
