Job Description

As the first engineering hire at Manifest Market, you will work directly with the founders to build a consumer-facing platform for prediction markets from scratch. You will own the product lifecycle—from interaction design to backend implementation—shaping the core experience, architecture, and engineering culture of a zero-to-one startup.

What You Will Do

• Design and build polished consumer features using Python (FastAPI), React, and Next.js, including personalized feeds and real-time market discovery.
• Shape the end-to-end user experience by refining interaction patterns, lightweight design systems, and responsive interfaces for mobile and desktop.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for ingesting and normalizing real-time market news and community data using streaming technologies like Kafka.
  
  

The ideal candidate

• Proven track record of shipping polished, consumer-facing products with a strong focus on interaction design and visual hierarchy.
• Expertise across the full stack, particularly with Python/FastAPI backends and modern TypeScript/React/Next.js frontend development.
• Comfortable in an AI-native development workflow, using agents to accelerate speed while maintaining responsibility for architecture and security.
