About The Role
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Business Development Specialist to accelerate new customer acquisition and expand our presence across the investigative services industry.
This is a true new-business development role for a proactive sales professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, building relationships and converting prospects into long-term customers. The successful candidate will develop business across private investigations, collections, repossession, bail bonds and related markets; work closely with leadership; represent the company at industry events; and own opportunities from initial prospecting through contract close.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, prospect and acquire new customers across designated investigative markets, focusing on new revenue rather than managing existing accounts.
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to expand the company’s presence in priority industries.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry networking, referrals, conferences and strategic relationships.
- Full-Cycle Sales: Lead opportunities from initial outreach and discovery through solution presentations, negotiation and closing.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, association meetings and networking events.
- Strategic Relationships: Build relationships with business owners, decision-makers, industry leaders and potential referral partners.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with leadership and operational teams to understand customer needs, share market feedback and support customer acquisition.

- Strong communication, negotiation, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage decision-makers, understand customer needs and articulate the value of solutions.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with leadership and internal teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel for industry events and customer meetings.
Experience in investigative services, public records and data providers, legal technology, compliance and risk management solutions, information services, collections and judgment recovery, repossession, bail bonds, process serving, or SaaS and recurring revenue sales models.
Experience selling investigative data, public records solutions, skip tracing platforms, compliance tools, legal technology or related information services is particularly relevant.
Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote position with travel required for industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings and other business development activities. The successful candidate will complete an initial onboarding and training period of approximately 30–90 days, working remotely in close collaboration with company leadership and operational teams. Following onboarding, the individual will work independently, manage sales activities and maintain consistent communication with internal teams.
What Success Looks Like
Success will be measured by the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, build a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and convert those opportunities into revenue-generating customers. The successful candidate will establish a strong presence in the investigative services industry, develop relationships with key decision-makers and represent the company professionally at industry events.
This is a new-business acquisition position, not a traditional account management role.
