Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Business Systems Analyst- Procurement and Legal Team Location: Remote Must be able to work PST hours Start/End Dates: 11/17/2025 - 5/16/2026, potential for extension Pay: $45hr-$50hr Job Summary We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support and optimize our procurement and legal operations systems, with a focus on Zip (intake-to-pay platform) and Ironclad (contract lifecycle management). This role will be responsible for having discussions with design team as we are working through the design on our new legal system, managing system configurations, troubleshooting issues, and driving enhancements across these platforms to ensure seamless workflows and data integrity. You’ll serve as the primary technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring that procurement and legal processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant. What You’ll Do

• Operational Support & Troubleshooting; Act as the go-to technical contact for Zip and Ironclad system issues across procurement, legal, and finance teams
• Monitor, triage, and resolve day-to-day operational issues (e.g., approval routing errors, integration failures, contract sync issues.
• Provide first-level support and escalate complex issues to vendors or engineering as needed
• System Configuration & Integration:
• Maintain and optimize workflows, approval chains, and data mappings within Zip and Ironclad
• Partner with engineering and IT teams to define integration logic between Zip, Ironclad, ERP, and other internal systems
• Document system configurations, sync schedules, and exception handling procedures

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the liaison with Zip and Ironclad vendor teams for support, updates, and roadmap alignment
• Manage vendor SLAs, support tickets, and configuration changes
• Collaborate with procurement, legal, and finance stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize enhancement

System Enhancements & Testing

• Support testing and validation of new features, bug fixes, and platform updates
• Track enhancement requests, change logs, and backlog items in tools like Jira
• Conduct UAT and coordinate cross-functional testing efforts Shape

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role supporting procurement or legal operations
• Hands-on experience with Zip and Ironclad platforms
• Strong understanding of procurement workflows (e.g., intake-to-pay, vendor onboarding, approvals) and contract lifecycle management
• Experience working with APIs, data mapping, and integration logic
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Excel; SQL knowledge is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work through ambiguity
• Strong communication skills; comfortable interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
