Job Description

Posted on: May 5, 2026

Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)About The Role We partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Right now, we're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security practitioners to bring real-world expertise to frontier AI development. Your knowledge of how enterprise security actually works — the misconfigurations, the control failures, the threat patterns — is exactly what's needed to make AI security systems smarter and more accurate. This is a rare opportunity to directly shape how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic network, endpoint, and email security scenarios drawn from modern enterprise environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to diagnose what went wrong and why
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data
  • Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
  • Clearly explain security issues, root causes, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
  • Familiar with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling
  • Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls in production
  • Able to translate complex technical findings into clear, concise written explanations
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience in incident response, threat hunting, or SOC operations
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
  • Background in security engineering, architecture, or red/blue team work
  • Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or annotation projects

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI projects with top-tier research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Make a meaningful impact on how AI understands real-world cybersecurity
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
