- Manage the Corporate Marketing team budget, including monthly forecasting, invoice tracking, accrual documentation, budget training, and financial reporting.
- Partner regularly with Business Unit (BU) Marketing Leads to support preparation, tracking, and management of their respective budgets.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team on budget alignment, coding, reporting, reconciliations, and accrual processes.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate a consistent reporting cadence to the Head of Marketing and BU Marketing Leads, providing clear visibility into budgets, actuals, and forecasts.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day team operations by partnering with the Director of Integrated Marketing to identify operational priorities, resolve issues, and communicate updates effectively across the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (MBA preferred) with strong knowledge of Marketing operations.
- 6+ years of experience in financial operations, with demonstrated expertise in budget tracking and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to quickly learn and understand business operations.
- Proven project management capabilities.
Role Overview (Interview Recap)
We are seeking a self-starter who can quickly ramp up and operate independently while covering a maternity leave beginning in April.
This role has a strong tactical component and will focus on:
- Managing actuals vs. budget tracking and forecasting
- Supporting accrual processes and reconciliation in partnership with Finance
- Enhancing reporting processes to improve budget visibility and performance tracking
- Preparing clear, executive-ready reporting (Excel and PowerPoint) for senior leadership.
