Vice President of Finance Operations, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $200,000/year USD

This is not traditional FP&A. This is financial operations built for operators. At 2 Hour Learning, you will not spend time reporting on outdated budgets or waiting for business intelligence teams to deliver insights. Instead, you will design the models, dashboards, and control systems that provide operators and executives with the clarity required to make confident decisions every day. Your output drives everything from new school launches to strategic direction changes, and it must be fast, precise, and reliable. You will own a real-time, AI-enhanced finance infrastructure. This includes integrated profit and loss models for every school and business vertical, rolling 12–18 month forecasts maintained within 72 hours of current reality, and dashboards that highlight the two or three levers with the greatest impact. You will construct all of this using Klair, Syft, and Retool—without requiring engineering resources. If you want your financial models to shape execution rather than simply document it, this role is for you. You will not observe from the periphery. You will be central to how we advance. What You Will Be Doing

• Design and maintain dynamic 3-statement financial models for every school and vertical — integrating enrollment data, staffing plans, and capital expenditures into a unified forecast.
• Refresh rolling 12–18 month forecasts on a weekly basis using current data, and perform scenario testing for upside and downside risk.
• Create executive dashboards powered by live data — surfacing critical levers and supporting daily decision-making with confidence.
• Leverage AI and automation to identify anomalies, monitor variances, and remove spreadsheet inefficiencies throughout finance operations.
• Produce concise memos that distill financial risk, strategic alternatives, and budget considerations — at board-ready quality, delivered within 72 hours.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Running a sluggish budget cycle — your forecasts adapt alongside the business in real time.
• Acting as gatekeeper for cost centers or tracking down expense receipts — you concentrate on clarity and control, not administrative overhead.
• Depending on BI teams — you create the tools, dashboards, and models independently.
• Getting lost in irrelevant detail — your role is to isolate the small number of insights that shift outcomes.
• Generating reports that sit unused — your deliverables inform decisions within days.

Vice President Of Finance Operations Key Responsibilities Produce continuously updated financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that enable daily decision-making and strategic clarity across a fast-growing network of schools. Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Math (CPA/CFA/MBA is a plus)
• Based in the U.S. and authorized to work without sponsorship
• Available to travel approximately 25% to campuses throughout the U.S.
• 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, Big 4 corporate finance/M&A (not audit), or high-growth FP&A
• Demonstrated experience constructing integrated 3-statement models aligned with U.S. GAAP
• Capable of producing investor-grade analysis and recommendations within tight timelines
• Active daily user of AI/automation tools (e.g., GPT, Klair, Syft, Retool, NetSuite automations)

Nice-to-have Requirements

• ERP system experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
• Background in multi-site education, facilities management, or operations-intensive industries
• Experience preparing board-level reporting or investor-facing materials
• Proven track record building AI-automated dashboards or low-code finance tools
• Prior exposure to high-end service environments with rigorous financial standards
