Rate: $60-65/hour
Duration: 8 Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Conversion)
Our Retail client with over $50B in annual revenue has over 2000 stores, across 21 US states, with over 300,000 employees. This company is structured for innovation and implementing new technologies. The Executive leadership team strives for work life balance for all its employees, while also providing extensive opportunities (but not requirements!) for overtime for Contractors. There is a strong focus on keeping employees and contractors’ long term, with some contractors on 3-4+ year contract engagements, while also providing the opportunity for growth (for both employees who have converted permanent, as well as contractors)!
Responsibilities
- Manage a few projects in various stages from initiation to close ensuring project success and achieving project objectives.
- Ability to switch back and forth as Project Manager and Scrum Master as the projects need.
- Create and maintain budgeting for projects including month over month review.
- Addresses impediments and resolves or escalates as needed.
- Lead, coach and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.
- Escalate issues and risks as appropriate according to the Project Management Plan processes.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, delegate project tasks and hold team accountable to deadlines.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management process.
- Assist in the process of balancing the interdependencies.
- Collaborate with Product team on updates.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ work experience in project management experience who can manage complex $MM projects in Agile/Waterfall.
- Must be able to setup/build project plans in MS Project.
- Strong ability to drive due dates and identify risks/issues.
- PMI/PMP certifications are nice to have.
- Scrum or Agile certification is a plus.
- Any Retail/merchandising experience (nice to have).
- Must have executive level reporting skills.
- Good communication skills (ability to cater based on audience).
