Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with 7+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications within a modern DevSecOps environment. This role focuses on building and supporting RESTful and SOAP APIs, delivering high-quality code through test-driven development (TDD), and leveraging AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

This is a hands-on, mid-senior level position suited for developers who bring strong technical depth and the ability to collaborate effectively across small, Agile teams to rapidly deliver features and improvements.


Key Responsibilities

· Design, build, and maintain applications using C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core

· Develop and support RESTful and SOAP APIs for system integrations

· Apply DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, reliable software delivery

· Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code using TDD (XUnit)

· Produce and maintain clear, structured technical documentation

· Utilize GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and collaboration

· Collaborate with Product Development and Production Support teams to deliver enhancements and resolve issues

· Build and optimize data access layers using Microsoft SQL Server and Dapper ORM

· Implement logging, monitoring, and log streaming solutions for observability

· Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Aspire orchestration

· Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

· Collaborate with developers in small groups of varying sizes to rapidly deliver features

· Leverage Agentic AI and code assist tools as productivity enhancers while maintaining ownership of engineering outcomes


Required Qualifications

· 7+ years of professional software development experience

· Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core

· Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and SOAP services

· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Dapper ORM

· Hands-on experience with GitHub workflows and version control

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

· Familiarity with Docker and containerized application development

· Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure coding practices

· Solid understanding of:

o Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

o SOLID design principles

o Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

· Experience with test-driven development (TDD) using test suites XUnit, NUnit

· Experience integrating automated UI/UX testing with Selenium

· Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

· Strong communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Python and/or Node.js

· Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases

· Familiarity with MERN, MEAN, or LAMP stacks

· Familiarity with 12-Factor (12F) application development principles

· Experience with microservices or distributed systems

· Experience working with Financial, Insurance, or Healthcare systems

· Strong preference for candidates with deep hands-on experience in the Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET), with demonstrated focus on building and operating solutions within that ecosystem
