Job DescriptionLocation: Remote Type: Part-time, Contract (with potential for full-time) Overview We are seeking a Copywriter to join Dermsquared’s internal creative team, supporting dermatology-focused conferences, digital education, and community-driven content for healthcare professionals. This role is designed for a copywriter with 3+ years of professional experience who is comfortable writing for clinical audiences and understands the importance of accuracy, clarity, and appropriate medical terminology. You will develop copy primarily directed toward healthcare professionals including dermatologists, PAs, and NPs. The role requires familiarity with medical language, comfort working within regulated environments, and the ability to translate clinical concepts into clear, engaging content without oversimplifying. You will also support light graphic design using Canva and use AI prompting responsibly to accelerate ideation and iteration. Key ResponsibilitiesHCP-Focused Copywriting & Content Development

  • Write clear, accurate, and engaging key messages and copy for healthcare professional audiences across email, digital, social, and web channels
  • Develop copy for CME-related content, conferences, educational programs, and clinical marketing initiatives
  • Use correct medical terminology and disease-state language appropriate for professional audiences
  • Adapt tone and depth based on audience type, channel, and intent while maintaining clinical credibility
  • Contribute to key message development for campaigns and initiatives within dermatology and related therapeutic areas

AI-Assisted Writing & Iteration

  • Use AI prompting to generate drafts, variations, subject lines, and headlines
  • Edit and refine AI-assisted outputs to ensure medical accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment
  • Apply judgment to ensure all content meets quality, compliance, and audience expectations
  • Follow internal guidelines for responsible and compliant use of AI tools

SEO & Social-First Writing

  • Apply SEO best practices to HCP-facing web and landing page copy
  • Write social copy informed by platform trends while maintaining professional tone and accuracy
  • Optimize headlines, subject lines, and CTAs to improve engagement and discoverability
  • Stay current on content and social media trends relevant to healthcare audiences

Light Design & Content Assembly

  • Create and update simple visual assets using Canva, including social graphics and email visuals
  • Ensure copy and visuals work together cohesively and meet brand standards
  • Adapt content for different platforms while preserving clarity and compliance

Collaboration & Review

  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and social media partners to support integrated campaigns
  • Work closely with medical editors and reviewers to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Incorporate feedback efficiently and communicate clearly around timelines and revisions

Workflow & Accountability

  • Manage assigned projects using tools such as Monday.com
  • Balance multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Proactively flag content risks, terminology questions, or review needs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience, with a focus on healthcare or scientific audiences
  • Demonstrated experience writing for healthcare professionals using appropriate medical terminology
  • Familiarity with regulated content environments and review processes
  • Experience using AI-assisted writing tools responsibly
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and social media platforms
  • Experience creating light design assets using Canva
  • Strong attention to detail and editorial judgment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in dermatology, medical education, or CME-related content
  • Comfort interpreting clinical concepts, abstracts, or study data for professional audiences
  • Experience working with medical review teams
  • Ability to balance clinical precision with engaging, readable copy
