Our client is a leading technology company creating AI-first, cloud-native work platforms for communication and collaboration. They are seeking a creative copy director to help craft clear, compelling stories through sight, sound, and motion. This role is focused on story development, writing, and creative direction for video content that is primarily motion graphics. Youʼll partner closely with, and collaborate daily, with an in-house creative team that includes designers, editors, copywriters, and motion graphic designers. Youʼll also work with external agencies and production partners to bring ideas to life.
This is a 6-month contract role, with the possibility of extension.
You will:
- Develop strong narrative concepts that translate complex B2B and technical ideas into engaging video stories that work across a range of channels.
- Drive work forward through changing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder input without losing momentum or quality.
- Write scripts, outlines, and creative briefs for motion-led video content across brand, product, and marketing.
- Lead creative direction from concept through post-production.
- Provide clear creative guidance to in-house designers, copywriters, video editors, and motion graphic designers - stepping in to write and create mocks as needed.
- Collaborate with external agencies and partners to ensure work meets creative and brand standards.
- Shape pacing, structure, and visual storytelling for motion-first videos.
- Present and advocate for creative ideas, balancing stakeholder feedback with storytelling clarity.
- Help evolve the brandʼs approach to video and motion storytelling.
- Be an integral part of the team on a contract basis for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
You have:
- Strong storytelling instincts with hands-on experience writing for video.
- Proven experience providing creative direction for motion-graphics–driven video projects.
- Deep understanding of motion design principles and post-production workflows.
- Experience working closely with motion designers and editors.
- 6+ years of professional experience producing video content, ideally for B2B or technology brands.
- Portfolio showing narrative, motion-forward video work.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative.
