The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders. Minimum Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay
- All Houston-based virtual SLP's for KIPP are on the same pay package of 60/hr. Please confirm rate is accepted in your submission.
ResponsibilitiesRole Overview:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services to assigned students virtually.
- Conduct and participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings.
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations as required.
- Submit quarterly progress reports for all assigned students.
- Maintain accurate and timely service logs for all sessions.
Support Structure
- No SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) support is provided.
- Speech paraprofessionals may assist only in a limited capacity (e.g., pulling students out for sessions), but do not deliver therapy.
Caseload & Schedule
- Caseload: 50–60 students, with a Amergisum of 70.
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.
- Assignments are based on priority of need, not by campus location. SLPs will NOT get to choose their location.
- Kipp will not be responsible for technology
