Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)About The Role We're looking for experienced vulnerability management and security operations professionals to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on cybersecurity content. Your real-world expertise in how security teams discover, prioritize, and remediate risk will directly shape how AI understands and reasons about vulnerabilities — making a meaningful impact on the future of security-aware AI.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and real-world exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
  • Classify severity, exploitability, impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
  • Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios
  • Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
  • Apply your practical knowledge of how production security teams actually operate to ensure AI outputs reflect real-world judgment

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
  • Solid familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks
  • Able to articulate the difference between theoretical risk and what actually matters in a live environment
  • A structured, analytical thinker who communicates clearly in writing
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with tools like Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar scanners
  • Familiarity with CVSS scoring, EPSS, or exposure management platforms
  • Background in threat intelligence or red/blue team operations
  • Prior experience contributing to AI training, data labeling, or security research

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems built with the world's leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that improves how AI understands real-world cybersecurity
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
