As an SDR, you will play a critical role in expanding Advantary’s reach by identifying and engaging with potential clients, investors, and portfolio companies to help build the firm’s opportunity pipeline.
What You’ll Do
As a Sales Development Representative, your focus will be on sourcing, qualifying, and creating new opportunities for Advantary’s consulting and capital practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and qualify new prospects in targeted markets.
- Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone to generate interest and schedule meetings.
- Build and nurture relationships with founders, executives, and investors.
- Manage and track outreach campaigns in CRM systems.
- Partner with senior team members to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Represent Advantary at virtual and in-person events to expand awareness and relationships.
- Provide feedback and insights from outreach efforts to refine targeting and messaging.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of sales, business development, fundraising, or related experience.
- Proven ability to generate leads, book meetings, and build trusted relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort with prospecting, CRM tools, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Knowledge of venture capital, private equity, or startup ecosystems is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently as a contractor.
- Highly organized with excellent follow-through.

Compensation & Structure
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
- Compensation is commission-based with uncapped upside, tied to meetings set and deals closed from your outreach.
- No base salary; earnings are performance-driven.
Location
Our headquarters are in San Francisco/Silicon Valley, but we embrace remote work. We’re looking to extend and deepen our global reach.
