What We Look For In a Management Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of management theories, organizational behavior, strategic planning, leadership styles, human resource management, organizational structure, decision-making processes, and change management. Ability to explain classical and contemporary management theories, motivational frameworks including Maslow and Herzberg, and strategic analysis tools while preparing students for business management coursework and leadership roles.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at breaking down organizational structure design, leadership style analysis, and strategic planning frameworks. Guides students through analyzing management case studies, evaluating leadership effectiveness, designing organizational charts, applying SWOT analysis, and developing strategic recommendations. Emphasizes connecting management theory to practical organizational challenges and applies concepts to corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial settings.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with management curricula including principles of management and organizational behavior courses, and common challenges such as applying abstract theories to practical situations, distinguishing leadership styles, and understanding organizational dynamics. Adapts instruction using Harvard Business School case studies, group discussion activities, and simulation exercises to support undergraduate business students and professionals developing management capabilities.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
