Application Developer

Application DeveloperLocation: Remote but local to Cupertino, CA, Culver City, CA, or New York, NY

Duration: 12 months with the potential to extend

Pay: ~$118 -$120/hour, DOE (W2 and benefit options

The Planet Group is looking for an Application Developer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12 month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is remote, but the candidate must be local to Cupertino, CA, Culver City, CA, or New York, NY.

Application Developer Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality applications, tools, and components that compellingly showcase content and/or aid in developing them
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver exceptional user experiences
• Leverage expertise in Objective-C and Cocoa frameworks to build robust, scalable, and high-performance applications
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure application performance, reliability, and stability across various operating systems, devices, and environments
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support

Application Developer Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in CS, EE, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience across the Software Development Life Cycle including system architecture, design, implementation, QA, CI/CD, power and performance optimization, maintenance, and support
• Expert knowledge of objective-oriented programming, MVC, with a focus on Objective-C, and the client OS frameworks
• Experience developing for the clients platforms focusing on feature delivery, code sharing, shipping, and collaboration across multiple front-end environments
• Experience with Metal Shader Language and graphics rendering pipeline.
• Experience with Swift
• Extensive experience with Instruments, trace, and other profiling technologies
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools, such as XCTest and Xcode automation
