Location: Pasadena, CA, USA Salary: $62,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD Annually DescriptionJob Title: Assistant Project Manager (Architecture) Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager (APM) with strong expertise in Revit, advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, and proven experience in producing construction documents for retail and restaurant environments. This role focuses on converting pre‑designed concepts into high‑quality architectural construction documents—not architectural design creation. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with architectural backgrounds who thrive in detail-oriented production environments and can manage multiple projects with precision. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare architectural layouts and construction drawings based on client requirements.
• Coordinate drawing sets prepared by Draftspersons to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and related software to produce accurate layouts, diagrams, and technical documents.
• Conduct research and consult technical manuals, building codes, and landlord requirements.
• Interpret and apply relevant state and local building codes to ensure design compliance.
• Prepare documentation for project approvals and assist in managing bidding processes.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records for all project-related documentation.
• Conduct on-site surveys when required.
• Collaborate directly with clients to clarify project requirements and resolve technical questions.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, guidelines, and quality expectations.
• Provide production and coordination support to the Project Manager for multiple ongoing projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an APM or Job Captain within an architectural firm.
• Strong ability to interpret construction data, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (3D capability preferred).
• Basic proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated experience in drafting retail or commercial construction documents.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong multitasking and time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Background in retail store or restaurant architecture.
• Experience working on interior‑focused projects.
• Portfolio or work sample submission is required with the resume.

Supervisory Responsibilities This is an individual-contributor role with no direct supervisory duties; however, the APM will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders. Work Environment This position is fully remote, with the option for a hybrid schedule depending on proximity to client offices. Office environments may include typical professional workspace settings with standard office equipment and open-office conditions. Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and engage in standard office tasks.
• Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs for files/materials.
• Occasional bending or standing on a step stool as needed.

Schedule Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM). Flexibility may be required based on project timelines or business needs.
