Our main office is located at 101 E 15th St, Austin, Texas, but work can be performed from any city in Texas. This position is in the Fraud Deterrence & Compliance Monitoring Division. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. Who You Are A self-motivated individual who possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A candidate well versed in auditing and monitoring practices, possessing the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, and a commitment to upholding strong professional standard and ethics. What You Will Do The Program Monitor (Auditor II) performs moderately complex (journey-level) auditing work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. You Will Be Trusted To

  • Conduct interviews with Grantee staff in a professional manner.
  • Uphold the integrity of the Texas Workforce Commission.
  • Conduct monitoring reviews in an ethical and non-partial manner.
  • Research applicable laws, program standards, and regulations to support resolution decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Qualify With

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field, plus two years of full-time experience in: Accounting, program financial performance, or IT auditing or, Management information systems analysis, business process analysis, contract monitoring, or Positions which provided extensive knowledge of agency budgetary controls, or Administrative procedures and related state and federal regulatory laws
  • Education and experience may substitute for one another.
  • A license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas, a certificate to practice as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will satisfy the minimum requirements.
