OverviewTexas Oncology is looking for a RemotePatient Education Manager to join our team! This position will support All Texas Oncology locations. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p (depending on the needs of the business) with no weekends or major holidays! Some travel may be necessary, up to 40%. What does the Patient Education Manager do? To design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive, culturally sensitive, and evidence‑based patient education program that ensures consistent and accessible educational resources across all Texas Oncology practices. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):Program Development

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing patient education materials in collaboration with the Patient Education Steering Committee
  • Curate and develop new content appropriate for diverse cultural and literacy needs
  • Establish organizational guidelines defining expected education materials, formats, and delivery standards to ensure consistent patient experiences
  • Will share expertise with clinical and technology teams to support all patient education throughout Texas Oncology
  • Serve as a liaison with physicians and organizational leaders to assess and support patient and practice needs
  • Integrate both digital and print resources across topics including treatment, symptom management, nutrition, mental health, and survivorship

Technology Integration

  • Leverage existing platforms for video-based education and virtual consults
  • Collaborate with IT and the Transformation Office to evaluate, recommend, or implement new education technology solutions

Staff Education & Support

  • Train clinical teams in effective patient education techniques, cultural competency, and health literacy best practices

Impact Measurement

  • Establish key performance indicators and monitor metrics such as patient feedback, clinical adherence, and educational utilization

QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelors in Nursing and/or advanced healthcare degree; oncology or health literacy experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage patient education programs
  • Experience with digital health platforms, patient engagement solutions, and multimedia tools
