About The Role The Software Engineer II - Front End/Back End position is a vital role within our engineering team, primarily serving as an individual contributor. Under the guidance of leadership, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet project scope and schedule requirements. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional code. You will be responsible for developing, debugging, optimizing, and maintaining software in both test and production environments, ensuring stability and performance. This position offers opportunities to grow technical and communication skills, participate in planning sessions, and understand complex system architectures and design patterns. As part of your responsibilities, you will develop tests, monitoring, and deployment pipelines, contributing to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. You will also participate in on-call rotations, providing support for live systems and ensuring operational reliability. The role encourages active participation in design discussions, asking questions to understand technical trade-offs, dependencies, and system interactions. Additionally, you will support onboarding new team members and contribute to making tactical decisions that influence project success. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- Proficiency in Golang
- Experience with Angular framework
- Cloud computing experience, ideally with AWS
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to write clear, concise code with appropriate commenting
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins
Responsibilities
- Estimate and complete development tasks, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis with moderate guidance
- Debug, optimize, maintain, and monitor applications in test and production environments
- Develop and enhance testing frameworks, monitoring tools, analytics, and deployment pipelines
- Participate in on-call rotations to support system stability and incident resolution
- Build technical and communication skills through continuous learning and collaboration
- Contribute to planning sessions and understand system architecture and design patterns
- Engage actively in design discussions, asking questions to clarify technical trade-offs and dependencies
- Support onboarding of new developers and facilitate knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions
