Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong cloud infrastructure experience and proven expertise supporting financial tool integrations (Flexera) within enterprise cloud environments. This role is production-oriented, requiring hands-on work in installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large-scale systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with Cloud, Architecture, and Financial Integration teams to support and enhance the Flexera integration across GuideWell’s cloud environments.

Note: This is NOT a DevOps role. (Candidates with heavy CI/CD, Jenkins, O365 admin, or Linux-only backgrounds will not be considered.)

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Operations & Administration

• Perform installation, configuration, monitoring, testing, migration, and maintenance of assigned cloud technologies and financial system integrations.
• Oversee day-to-day system/application operations and ensure environments remain stable, secure, and compliant.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, and integration issues and resolve system alerts.
• Manage incident, problem, and escalation tickets; provide timely remediation activities.

Cloud Infrastructure & Integration

• Support and maintain cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, and/or Azure).
• Ensure systems align with enterprise architecture standards, cloud governance, and security guidelines.
• Assist with planning and execution of upgrades, migrations, and integration improvements.
• Monitor performance, utilization, and resource consumption, and report insights and trends.

Automation, Scripting & Improvement

• Write scripting/programming to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to system enhancement strategies.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with IT, business units, and financial integration teams (NICUS, FLEXERA).
• Provide technical mentorship to other engineers.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years working in enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• 8+ years of Cloud infrastructure experience (Google Cloud preferred; AWS or Azure also accepted).
• Strong knowledge of multi-technology environments, architecture standards, and integration patterns.
• Experience supporting large-scale system implementations.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud and application layers.
• Strong scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• High critical-thinking ability, capable of evaluating alternatives and presenting solutions.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt quickly.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Understanding of financial and cost management tools such as Flexera and NICUS.
• Background supporting engineering and architecture integration processes.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
