Sr. instructional designer

Type: 8-month contract

Location: Fully remote

Comp: $30-$40/hr

Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to develop engaging training materials for internal departments. This role involves writing comprehensive training plans, producing instructional videos, and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Project: Train store associates on selling selected products for each department within the store. This role will primarily be developing training video scripts, e-courses, infographics, and articles directly in LMS, as well as in tools such as adobe suite, PowerPoint and Articulate (rise).

Key Responsibilities:

• Write training plans, including learning objectives, video scripts, and reinforcement questions
• Collaborate with SMEs to review and refine content
• Source visual and branding assets from internal repositories and public resources
• Use AI voiceover tools (e.g., Wellsaid) to create narration
• Produce and edit training videos using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary updates to training content

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in related field
• Experience in instructional design or a related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, articulate, PowerPoint and AI voiceover tools
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Previous Retail industry experience
